Ok here is another ? for you.

I have heard that service is an issue with Suzuki, mainly the availability of parts. I looked at Suzi web site for dealers in my area and there are plenty. Any thoughts on that?

Suzuki's are great engines and are very reliable. If you have someone to work on it in your area I would not hesitate to own one.

If you're talking 4 stroke there are a lot of dealers getting on the bandwagon. These motors are really catching on and everyone seems to want to sell and service. The older 2 strokes can be a different situation. I've talked with dealers who will only work on the 4 strokes. I've heard the stories about parts availability for the 2 strokes also. The place that works on my motor seems to get parts as quickly as any other motor. Find a good mechanic who knows Suzuki's and you'll find parts and service comparable to any other motor.

Thanks for the input. The Suzi web site shows many dealers in my area. Also the dealer that I plan on buying the boat from has a 24-hr hot line which is staffed by a tech. This would indicate that this dealer is truly concerned about customer satisfaction and service.
