feels like running on 5 CI'S

hello from wi,heres my 1990 150hp suzuki story.got my rig 3 years ago.always ran like a top.Last memorial weekend took my rig camping with all the bros and familys .me and my bros and one other friend went to get ice.4 of us in boat.total weight 700lbs.boat ran perfit at full tilt 50mph and on the way home just crusin.now it gets weard.my bro took other family members and some large friends out for ride.total weight .lets say 1100lbs. i did not know this.anyway get call on cell phone.boats not running right.can't get it to plane and smells like gas.ever since then the motor will run ok one miniute and then start missing and can't get it to go over 25 the next.it seems like it only running on whatever amount of CI'S.and thats the way i went throught the rest of summer. just putting one miniute ,crusin the next.going to have looked at this spring.just wondering any ideas.just had to tell my sob story.i'm sure it's going to cost me to get looked at.THANKS BRO.what are brothers for

Well based on your post it will be awhile before you can put it in the water being in WI. But if you can heres what I would do first. Check for excess fuel running out of a carb. Take the front cover off. Next check the spark of each cylinder with a timing light (induction type) hooked to each cylinder one at a time. It sounds like you may have a plug fouling out. You also need to do a compression check on each cylinder. You also have a float sticking, but I really think its a plug. Good luck and keep us posted..
