    Trim Switch

I have a 2005 225hp Optimax. Today, the trim switch on the shift lever stopped working. The bow trim switch and engine cowl mounted switch still work properly. I suspect the switch itself is defective. Is there anything "special" needed to know to change this switch.

    Thanks,
    Tim

    Re: Trim Switch (eldonrenee)

Start by checking the wiring connections running to the control handle.

To lose BOTH "Up and DOWN" functions, the most likely connection problem would be the RED (or Red w/Purple) wire.

In order to determine the correct switch, we would need to IDENTIFY the control handle. A picture is worth a thousand words in this case.
