I have fuel spraying out of schrader valve on VST. Do schrader valves go bad or is this an indicator of more serious problems?

It happened last night and have not checked anything yet. I assume a tire valve stem core tool should work to tighten. I will check. I seem to always expect worse case. Just trying to get some ideas on where to start and that would definitely be easiest and cheapest.
Just replace the valve, regular valve tool fits,Chris
Can I buy just the core or do I need to replace whole valve? This may be a dumb question but will a tire valve stem core work?
I regular tire-type schrader valve TOOL will fit the valve.
However.... the STEM SEALS utilized must be rated for FUEL (and ultimately need to be ethanol resistant material).
Tire valve stems do NOT meet these qualifications.![]()
