3 beeps by merc 150 EFI??

Posting this for a friend with 2003 Merc 150 EFI,.....

Yesterday, later into the trip I hear a "beeping". First thought it was my GPS. Turned them all off. Heard it again. What happens is I start the boat, the "starting" beep happens like always. Put it into gear and start idling and about 30 seconds it will beep 3 times. It will then beep again (3 times) in a few more mins. Water pressure is there as normal and see it pumping as usual, oil was filled a few weeks ago and is 3/4 of a tank of oil. It is not over-heating. There is a half tank of gas.

    any ideas?

Appropriate means of addressing would be to get the engine on the Computer Diagnostic System for PRINTOUTS of:

    -Run History
    -Freeze Frame (Fault) History

Information in these reports will indicate what fault is causing the warning buzzer to sound.

A couple of the possibilities would include:

-Low oil level in ENGINE mounted oil tank (should be 100% full with no air space present)
    -Water in Fuel
