    Trolling with new Optimax 150XS

My friend just bought a new Ranger 1860 Angler. He wants to know if he should troll with the 150 pro xs? Thanks.

Once proper break in has been done it shouldn't be a problem to troll with it..

Make sure he's running Quickleen in EVERY tank of fuel, and utilizing the RECOMMENDED Optimax/DFI oil.

Good idea to finish off each outing with a nice-long (5 minute) run in the 3500-4800 RPM range. This is where the engine get's it's best fuel economy, and thus runs the cleanest.

Biggest problem with trolling/idling would be CARBON BUILDUP in the combustion chambers, exhaust, spark plugs, and direct injectors.
