    just replaced trigger???

replaced the trigger on my 95 merc 150 efi because of the wire harness rotted. no changes were made to the arm that attaches to the throttle linkage. my question is , will it be necessarry to check timming? if so what should the settings be for static and full throttle?

I would get the sync & link done and timing ,Just to be safe. If still have your idle stabilizer I get rid of it while your at it , I had mine removed , BIG improvment.

Timing MUST be reset. Absolutely VERY critical.

In order to accurately answer this question, we'll need to know:

    -Serial Number
-Does the engine still have the idle stabilizer/advance module?

STRONGLY recommend that you have an OEM Service manual, a timing light, and an APPROPRIATE DIAL INDICATOR TOOL on hand. These are required to properly set the timing.
