    MERC EFI 150 Issue

Im hoping this isnt a day. I have a few issues. First it keeps giving me a short constant beep when I turn the key to the right and not all the way over. I know its low on gas but not that low so Im not sure if its a gas warning or what. Also last time I was out there were a few people fishing on the dock. Well the wind was blowing me back into the dock even with my TM going. I started my outboard and did my best to not spray them and the wind kept blowing me back. Instead of reeling thier line in they looked at me like I was an idiot until my ourboard was wrapped in thier line. I managed to get it all out from what I can see. Should I be worried about any left over line or should I just take care of it when I do my yearly maintance?

    Thanks
    David

Re: MERC EFI 150 Issue (rednecksims)

The constant beep is a CRITICAL warning.

Recommend that you get the engine on the Computer Diagnostic System, for PRINTOUTS of:

    -Run History
    -Freeze Frame (Fault) History

These printouts will contain information that assists in an accurate diagnosis of the problem.

Also- VERY wise to have the gear lube drained, AND a Pressure Test of the gearcase done (to confirm there are no leaks at the propshaft seals).

BTW... I'm always happy to review printouts by email (if necessary).

Seems it was a filter/spark plug issue from what the dealership is telling me.

Be sure to report back on how it does, once you've had a chance to run it.
