So I'm considering swapping out my jack plate myself and from what I have read I need a lifting ring. Should I just order one from Bob's or does anyone rent/loan these things? I hate to spend $40 on something I'll probably use just the one time.
Also, when installing the lifting ring do torque it to a certain spec, or just "tight"?
