Finally put the boat on the water today.

Special thanks to Don for helping me with rebuilding my 300x. I finally got it on the water today for the first time since the rebuild and everything was good. Motor ran and sounded great, kept it under 5200 rpm and ran it for about an hour. Hopefully all is good. Don, I decided to go ahead and pull my injectors on my port motor and send them to you, they will be in the mail early next week. I thought they were numbered like my starboard ones were but that was not the case and I mixed them all up so just let me know if you can give me a preferred order after you look at them. I also could not get the smartcraft gauge to work, my old port gauge works on either motor but I could not get the new one to work on either motor so I am sending it with the injectors.
Another question, I have 130 deg. thermostats in both motors and all 4 open within 1 deg of each other, when I warm up the motor at idle and during the entire time I am running at speed, the temp will rarely get over 112 deg. Is this the normal operating temp? Lake was 70 deg, if that matters.

No problem on the injectors- I'll make sure they're matched appropriately, and are numbered for proper installation.

Please also reference BOTH engine serial numbers (so I can pull your reports from the other engine).

We'll be more than happy to test the System Monitor, and if it's defective, will get it replaced (under the Mercury Parts and Accessories Warranty).

On temps- remember that your engines are equipped with a POPPET VALVE which begins to open at approximately 2000 RPM's, resulting in a FULL FLOW of water through the block. Hence, engine will be at thermostatic temperatures only when at (or very near) idle speed.

On-plane temps will vary... based on several factors, including lake water temp, load, etc.
