    Weight question

Don how much does the flywheel/balancer weighs for the 2010 300xs?
Don't have any numbers for the motor.
Just round numbers will be fine.

I'm showing approximately 19.125 lbs.... for Flywheel, Dampner, and dampner retaining bolts.

WOW that would be dropping a lot of weight going to the billet lightweight flywheel at only 7lb.

    Something to think about.

    Thanks Don

I'm still on the fence about the lighter flywheel, Gary speaks well of it though. Conner if ya call Dave ask him about one on a 300X for me, mostly concerned with idle issues if any.

    Don, any input on this??

    Re: Weight question (Largemouthlou)

As Gary mentioned in an earlier post, the only real drawback to the Billet flywheel is that decreased rotating mass results in some different idling characteristics.

Less rotating mass tends to increase the chances of stalling...

Don I think Dave went from a 6lb flywheel to a 7lb just for that reason.

Lou I am still just in the tire kicking stage. Motor is still under warranty and will be until May.

Haven't had a chance to speak with him yet.... intially expected the 6-7 lbs change was due to the ferrous-metal ring for the crank sensor.
