Oil in 250 PRO XB Gas mix?

I know some people put a little bit of oil in their gas mix, is it bad to do that with an XB?

I do the cocktail... but wasn't quite sure how it might help/hurt my engine. I just got it back out the shop and had the injectors, spark plugs, gas lines, and all that good stuff cleaned and swapped out... so i am trying to keep him in good health.

i dont think it would hurt unless you overdo it. But i dont think it is necessary. i just had all mine done and unless you had a complete rebuild of the block then i wouldnt do it.

Really, it's not necessary on this engine.

IF you were to do so.... perhaps at a 150:1 ratio in the fuel (ABSOLUTELY no more).

Too much oil actually makes the fuel thicker... and it won't flow properly through injectors, making the engine LEAN (the very thing you're trying to avoid).

I add about 0.5 oz of oil for every gallon of fuel.
