How exactly are you supposed to refill the power trim? I am following my manual to a T and every time I take off the white cap, fluid spills out all over the place??
Sorry, I'm not mechanically inclined!

-Check trim fluid level. You may have to "help" the engine all the way up to the safety latch.... install the safety latch. Make sure boat and trailer are LEVEL, and then SLOWLY remove the fill cap from the resevoir (may be under pressure). Fluid level should be "just to" the bottom threads (not pouring out).

Make sure boat and trailer are LEVEL before you begin.
Also ensure that you're removing the FILL CAP (it's in the resevoir on the PORT side of the trim system).![]()
