    Please assist...

Looking at my first bass boat guys, and your help would be very much appreciated. Can you give me some feedback on....

    '93 Stratos 201 ProXL with a 150 Evinrude (Oil injected) ($6900)
Single axle trailer, hotfoot, manual jack plate, triple bank charger

'99 Javelin Renegade with a 150 Evinrude (Fuel injected) ($7800)
Single axle trailer, dual console, 19 footer

    '96 Stratos 295 ProXL with a 175 Evinrude Intruder ($8500)
Single axle, dual console, 19.5 footer, max speed 55 mph ???????

While I'm not new to fishing, I am fairly new to buying boats and knowing what's got a proven record for being a dependable boat/motor.

Thanks for helping me out.. MoFire

Just bought a '01 Javelin Renegade 19 with a 175 Merc on it and absolutely love it so Id go with that one. Take em all out for a test drive though and let the test drive do the talking. See which boat suits you best since all 3 boats are nice boats

They all have their pros and cons.
Obviously the 201 is the biggest boat, but also the most underpowered 60 MPH MAX.
The Javelin is a great boat, but the 99 model DI engines could be trouble, but it has a good price.
The 295 with the 175 seems to be a little high priced compared to the others. While not the newest or the biggest, it could be the best all around, if you can get the price down a little. The 175 should push that boat low 60's and it will have a good ride for sure.

Like mentioned above, go to the lake in them all, get the best price you can and go with what you feel is the best boat/deal. They are all good rigs and I think you would be happy with any of them.

201 is a 50 mph boat and very slow hole shot. Think twice. but if its in fine shape and oyur not worried about speed. Test drive it. Stay away from the 99 motor. The 295 as long as motor checks out is my choice.

Thanks guys! The add says the Evinrude 175 has "power lift with 4-blade Renegade prop." Can someone explain what's meant by "power lift?" Are they talking a hydraulic jack plate??

The 201 is way under powered (245hp rating) so you will not be happy with it. Also that boat is heavy and a dual axle trailer would be a better choice. I think you can do better than the price listed. I do not have experience with Javelin so I cant say. With the 295, I again think you can do better for that amount of money. But that is all my opinion

Power lift means it has a power lift brand hyd. jack plate. The Jav renegade is composite which is good. Either the Jav or the 295 would be my choice, both of em good riding rigs. If the 150 on the Jav has made it all these years its a survivor, im sure the problem childs are all dead by now.
