how much lube does this thing hold? The book says 24 ounces, I just put 32 ounces in and it hasn't come out the vent hole yet?

Re: changing lower unit oil in sportmaster (KDFishin')

The Sportmaster case has varied over the years in regards to it's "fluid capacity". Although the "norm" is 24-28 ounces, I have personally seen several that will hold 33 (one more ounce than a quart).

When refilling, use the proceedure outlined in the following post:

Re: changing lower unit oil in sportmaster (EuropeanAM)

Mine will take the one container (32oz), if I try and put any more in from another container then it will come out the vent. So for my sporty I use one container and don't pump it bone dry,, I do release any pressure after the first time out by cracking the vent screw..
