DON?
Don, have a 02 250 XB that i just had the injectors clean and cal. but my engine is still on the rich side. I've had the TPS check, and spark plugs changed. I run quickleen in every gallon also change the hose from the bulb to the motor that was a gook call the hose was rotton on the inside. Would the pulse fuel pump make it rich?

Re: DON? (JORILLA)
ANY source of additional fuel can make the engine rich. This would include the pulse fuel pump, INJECTOR OR RAIL O-RINGS (including the ones where the rail connects through the housing), Leaking injectors, improper TPS adjustment, VST level too high, and various other sources.
Also possible in a rich operation condition is an EXHAUST RESTRICTION.
A good starting point would be to install a pressure gauge at the fuel pressure test port- turn the key on to pressurize the system, then turn the key off. Fuel pressure should remain relatively constant for at least 30 seconds after keydown (if it steadily or rapidly drops- YOU HAVE A LEAK).

Re: DON? (JORILLA)
Two other items to check (in addition to the above) would be:
-Intake Air Temp Sensor
-Engine Temp Sensors
A temp sensor that's not properly reporting accurate temperature can result in a SUBSTANTIALLY rich mixture. Guidelines for testing the temp sensors are provided in the OEM Service Manual.

Re: DON? (JORILLA)
Assuming by "way down" you mean that one winding was shorted?
