Looking for a lense..........

I would love to purchase a lense of a fellow BBCer.........

I'm looking for a Canon 17-55mm 2.8. Who's got one & want's some Christmas $$$?

I've looked at the FM site Sneezy suggested but can't seem to locate one. Holler if you know of something.

Get with Jim (jb882). He said something to me awhile back about selling one of his. I don't think it was a 17-55 but maybe a 24-70?? I can't remember.

Nope, not interested in the 24-70. I won't own a "L" series lense that ISN'T white. What's the point right? I WANT RESPECT!!

No, really, I want the extra 7mm that the 17-55mm brings. I already have the 70-200 2.8 L and don't need the duel coverage b/w 70mm & 80mm. Would rather have those few extra mm's at the front end.

Paul, i have a 17-85 F4-5.6

The only way anyone would ever get my 24-70 would be to pry it out of my cold dead hands....

Tshooter, dont underestimate the L series black lenses the red ring on the front = respect...... I owned a 17-55 f2.8 for a little while and i didn't like it. Compared to the 24-70 the auto focus was slow and it had a tendency to get dust inside(a common problem with that model from what im told). I had to send mine to Canon twice in a year to get it taken apart and cleaned which is one of the reasons i traded it in. The 24-70 also is much sharper(at least my copy is) and gives nicer color.

What i want for my next lens is the 85 1.2L. I have a thing for prime lenses.

Paul dont overlook the L series black stuff too. The white ones are only telephoto and super telephoto lenses. All the standard zooms, standard primes and macro's are black.
