I would have been kinda scared to get close the the bears with the bear cub around.

I'm a lot smarter...what you don't see in these photo's is a person close to me that I can out run.
....Most of these are at 300mm zoom.
We were in Cades Cove ( Smoky Mountain National Park ) yesterday and seen a sow with triplets, two pair of sows each with twins , a sow with one cub and two sow / boars roaming by themselves. The National Park Service must of let them all out for the holiday at once![]()

Its always good to have somebody with you, that you can out run![]()

just a sugestion. When shooting with a busy background use the single point focus. i noticed in many of the images the focus was on branches and not the bear.
Cool shots non the less.
mama bear and cubs I would be wanting a 1200 mm with a 2x tc and a partner in a leg cast.
keep shooting memory is cheap
