    Hey Mark

    You see anything wrong here?

I 100% despise electrical work, but when mamaw asks for help, I do what I can.

This is the control panel and the 2 bolts coming out of the pipe is attached to the heating coil/element (whatever it's called) inside....she said it had gone out (actually when she turned it on after about 15 mins it would throw the breaker), so I came over, took the coil/element out, she went and got a new one, then I came back over and put it in and hooked everything back the way I "Thought" it was supposed to go. (which could be completely wrong! ) Still no heated water.

One thing I don't get is why the hell would those 2 blue wires have plastic end thing on it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but plastic won't conduct electricity, right?

Is the plastic under the terminal? If so, I know where I'd start...
Other than that, everything looks ok. I'd have to be able to take a meter and just start checking things out.

Did you check the fuses, located there on the center of the circuit board?

That whole black piece that is tightened down on the terminal is plastic....that's why I said I don't know what good that will do!

Seems to me that if there are 2 things coming off of the coil, then you would need a + and a - of some sort coming to it for it to be able to heat, right? Instead, it has the green wire, and the blue wire(which has a plastic doo-dad on it)....seems to me like that wouldn't do chit.

    Fuses are good.

No, but the way things are going, it will soon be disposed as garbage.

It would've been much more helpful if you had taken a picture before you butchered the wiring..
See if it has a schematic around, or get me model and serial number and I'll find one online.
