I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
Dark colors...fish were you'd catch them in the daylight this time of the year....once it's hot, I fish brush....

Same baits that I would throw during the day with one exception, and that would be a BIG black spinner bait with a BIG single colorado blade.
It is amazing how well they can see at night.

Fishing at night and catching fish with no moon and no docks (lights) around will make you realize that there is water muddy enough that fish can't "see/find" your baits.
We caught them on big worms and big brushhogs last night.
Things Sam forgot to mention.
1) Bring a flashlight, or....ANY form of light. Because, with a light.....
A) You won't poke your fingers 20 times with hooks.
B) You won't cut the line instead of the tag end
C) Change lures in less than 15min
D) Might not pee on the trolling motor
E) If you bring two flash lights, you have a way to find one of em!!
2) Don't just reach down and lip everything you catch (dabm pickerell!)
