May I inquire HOW you fixed it???
And just to clarify... was this the VERITCALLY MOUNTED CYLINDER HEAD (with 20 head bolts securing it)?

You got it Don. There were at least half of the bolts not tightened up.??? Not sure why. Had my boat at the shop, having the vst fuel pump installed when he noticed water coming out of it .. tightened up the bolts and solved the problem . He also suggested maybe down the road I might want to pop open the case and look and see what might have caused them to loosen up. ??? Also found a cracked spark plug!
Thanks Chris

Please understand that this suggestion comes from my experience. It's not intended to offend!
I would HIGHLY recommend that the cylinder head be REMOVED- REPLACE ALL O-RING SEALS (4), and REPLACE THE CYLINDER HEAD MOUNTING BOLTS.
These bolts are designed as "Torque-and-Turn" bolts (ie: Torque to 20 ft. lbs. and then turn an additional 90 degrees, for example). Once this has been done- the bolts STRETCH, and should really not be re-used.
The o-rings on the head may have developed INTERNAL leaks (as well as external). If this is the case, there is the potential of venting hot combustion gases into the cooling system, OR of ingesting cooling water into the combustion chamber (cylinders).
The relatively small expense of a bolt and o-ring set could potentially save you the cost of a powerhead.![]()

Thanks Don will do. Yes my mechanic said that the bolts seemed to almost be stripped and wanted to keep turning! ?? Sounds like I need new bolts!
Thanks Don.
