    Anybody seen that darn PETE!!

    That "snake190" feller Pete Dubois.
I met Pete over the weekend and he sure seems like an okay feller to me! Didn't get to talk to him all that long though....he was busy collecting awards, prizes, and all sorts of cool stuff that ya get when ya catch fish.

Which, brings me to another issue.
That'll be the last time I give one of them Norfers directions down here to MY lake so's they can come kick my butt!
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

I'm fairly upset with the misses.
She put a 3.5 in the boat, then lost it's twinkie.
    Added a 2.5, then lost it's twinkie.

We both lost a fish we never saw.
And right at the end of the day....I got into a mess of "Jeff" fish. (that's what I call those that you "could" put in the livewell, but, probably better not....)

At least I finally caught a fish.

Never really got down to the "nuts and bolts" of WHY a fish will touch 15, then won't, then will again, then won't.

    Figured it out Sat.
    "FlatBoard"......
I caught three that, when layed FLAT, just wouldn't touch that mark. BUT, if you raised their head about 1/2", they would touch that line.
When the fish is layed out flat on one side, it's actually "bent", and shorter head to tail on the board.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

Trust me - I've learned that lesson. Also learned that using a livewell additive like "please release me" will sedate the fish and keep it from drawing up due to stress. They can "shrink" 1/8th inch or more in the livewell. If I have any "Jeff Fish" now - I make sure I'm using "please release me".

I had a "short" fish at the bass cat owner's invitational a year ago. Cliff Crowder (Lurch) was doing the measuring. He put his hand over the fishes' eyes and after a minute or so the fish measured easily. They will "shrink" when they're scared.

Maybe the fish could see you and was just disgusted to the point of shrinkage..
