The marine formula Stabil is all you need for fuel stabilizer. If you have it in your tanks now, that is all you need for storage. Look on the bottle and make sure you put enough in when you were running it for per longed storage, if you didn't, put some more in. Over dosing with marine stabil will not hurt your motor.
Also let it run a while for the over dosing has a chance to go thru the motor also .![]()
Recommended dosage for Marine Stabil (for extended storage) is 1oz per 6 gallons fuel.
IMPORTANT: With an Optimax engine, it can take 30 minutes for the properly dosed fuel to make it all the way through the fuel system!!!
Mercury has started recommending that 2tsp of stabilizer be added DIRECTLY into the fuel filter (see the following post for details):
