Doubt the personal record lasts very long, but, considering she doesn't get much of a chance to catch spots, I figured it was worth a photo.
Besides, compared to what we had been catching, it was a hog! (3lb, 2oz)

Pre-fishing not the word for it. Scratching our heads and wondering what to do is more like it.
She caught two keeper spots that day. I caught a decent black. We both caught several short fish as well.

It's as if the fish are everywhere and yet nowhere. Will hit anything and nothing. We haven't nailed down ANYTHING or ANYWHERE yet.
We haven't found a "check" yet, BUT, I think we have spent more than a "win" trying.

I ain't paying for that. He was picking out a backlash and there was a leaf floating beside the boat. That fish blasted that leaf and landed in the front of the boat.

Had it landed in the back, It'd been MINE!!!
