    Stockton Lake

Need some help with this lake. I have never been there and my son has a JR FLW T later this month. Any help would be great.

Check out Maize Creek on the Little Sac arm and Son's Creek on the Sac River arm. Both have lot's of timber and hold plenty of largemouth. In Son's this time of year try the coves that have a feeder creek in the back and that have shad present. A topwater such as a white herringbone chug bug or a small to medium popper along with a white buzzbait work well early then shallow running cranks in shad patterns. For soft plastics a fluke or sinko. For finesse jigs something with green and orange will work because it will match the crayfish in this lake. Good luck!!! Larry Brumley
