Why the heck must the batteries in these devil devices always go dead at 1:20 in the morning? And could they hide where the friggin battery goes in these things any more than what they do?
I just about grabbed the shotgun from under the bed. Lord almighty, that "chirp" is annoying.

Isnt that the most annoying thing!! I had two different detectors in our house start beeping on two different nights last week. The one that really sucked was the one that started beeping 45 minutes before my alarm went off
Marty does have a good suggestion, thats something I always plan on doing but obviously am not very successful at
Ours run on electricity with a battery backup. Just change the batteries once or twice a year and turn off the power switch to them to make sure they are still working.
