    VM Couples Tournaments

Trying to get the wife interestd enough to fish with me in a tournament. Thought maybe if there were a few women around she'd have a better time. See one coming up at Dardenelle. Can anyone share a little information about these events? We'd no way be competitive just looking for an outing a good time. Nothing like this around my neck of the woods. Pete

From everyone I've spoken with, the couples tournaments Vince puts on are a fun time. I think you would have to pay entries for two tournaments to fish though. Just a way of trying to prevent jackpotting.

Don't think Vince would charge you for two if your 1st was at Dardanelle. (it's not your home lake and it's not like you're trying to jackpot the tx).

Pete, call him and ask. I sure doubt you'de have to pay for two tournaments.

They are fun and the rules are set up to help prevent jackpotting of tx's.
There's something different about those tx's. I guess they are just as much about the people as they are about money.
    My wife won't miss one.

The championship is held on a mystery lake, two day event. It's just a BLAST!!
If you wife hated fishing, she'd probably still like the championship.

I think at least half of the teams just show up to goof off and see what some of us will do next. (I'm the village idiot. Rough job, but, somebody's gotta do it).
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

Couple years ago at Greeson, not many people had fish. Small lake and everybody could see everybody else.
About noon we (six or seven boats) had all tied together out in the middle and just floated around and ate lunch. Then we just never went back to fishing.....

The little lunch "floatilla" thing, happens quite often.

That's typical at Greeson...10-12lbs is a fat sack...land of the little fish.

Vince will have a sign up fee to fish the series (whether you plan on fishing more than one or not) and then you will have to pay the entry fee for the tournament. I wish I could get my wife interested in fishing these. I've been fishing his TNT's off and on for a few years now and I can say that Vince has well organized events.
