Started fishing Ouachita this year since the grass problem at Degray and not having any luck. Is anybody catching on this lake right now or is it just me?

Caught a 4+ and saw another (left it alone) in about 1 ft of water...didn't fish anything deeper than 5ft.
You should be able to pretty much go anywhere and catch fish right now on Ouachta.
Ive gotta get down there sometime to fish.

it's floating worm time at Ouachita. Find yourself a nice pocket with some shallow spawning cover and fling a Texas-rigged trick worm weightless. Bubble gum and white work well and you can see when the fish takes it. If you can watch your line well, go with watermelon/red flake.
I've never caught any BIG fish on them, but floating worms are fun.
The problem with seeing the fish though is the pollen and it should be thick this weekend in the pockets with no rain all this week.

I've never been skydiving, but I have zoomed-in on Google Earth really fast.
I was 31st on the co-angler side of things...thought I was going to smoke them. Had 4+lbs in less than an hour....which is exactly what I weighed in.
