    Quicksilver Premium plus oil

    Running a 09 Optimax dealer said to run Premium Plus.Wal-mart sells 858027Q01 that I have been buying,bought some from a Mercury dealer the last.this #is 858027Q01 and says synthetic blend..is this the same?many THANKS Don or Sherm

    Premium plus and synthetic blend is the same they both are synthetic blend oil.s.

    858027Q01 is indeed Premium Plus (which is a Synthetic Blend).

    Precisely WHAT 09 Optimax are you planning to run this oil in?

    I bought this new at Freedom Outdoors, last mo. its a 2009 200 Optimax (not XS) thats what they recommended its just off of double oil.thanks, .Don

    Refer to your owner's manual for oil recommendation. It will tell you that "Mercury or Quicksilver Optimax/DFI oil is recommended".

    Premium plus is acceptable "if Optimax/DFI is not available".

    Mercury or Quicksilver Premium Plus (and Optimax DFI Oil) are designed to be completely compatible with each other. Thus, the recommendation that "Premium Plus may be used if Optimax/DFI Oil is not available".
