    Plastic hub vs. metal hub?

I've recently been testing different props and noticed that they came with a plastic looking flo-torq hub. The existing hub on my motor (225 Pro XS) is metal and looks like brass. Which hub is best? Also, what is the purpose of the black strips adhered to the metal hub? I've wondered about all this for quite awhile but haven't taken the time to ask. Thanks all.

Your gearcase has the "fat shaft" propellor shaft and the metal hub is the one that fits it properly. The other Flo-torque hubs are for the standard size prop shaft. The plastic strips on the hub are for vibration dampening
