    TOTAL GEAR WEIGHT

over last few days I weighed rear and front gear,
    front deck:
    85 lbs of rods/tackle/etc.
87 lbs rear deck storage of tackle/tools/spare prop/spare TM prop/etc.
and then add fuel/livewell water/ batteries (2-Exide AGM @ 41lbs each and Trojan wet cell 60lbs, 3-bank Pro Charger SE @21lbs) and its a load still in 80-82 GPS
I am going to trim some weight now.

just seeing how much you guys carry

    Re: TOTAL GEAR WEIGHT (2500)

    MAN...............that's a lot of STUFF.

I actually just weighed all of my gear a few weeks back, after putting my rig away for the winter. I carry 35# of tackle, 11# of rods & reels, 26# for tool box and anchor, 12.5 # of clothes and misc goggles, etc., 3.5# of bags of hanging baits, 10# of ropes, rags, fish finders, net, rule, life jackets, coat, etc., and I allowed 2# for a few other misc. items.............WHICH COMES TO 100 lbs. of gear.

I didn't allow for batteries, trolling motor, because those things are kind of part of the boat, and have to be in the boat. I only weighed loose gear. Double J

    Oh yeah Jeff.......I forgot.............

    My rig is a 2010 20 XRD with a 250 XS, and I weigh 180#.

When I run solo with 75# of lead shot on top of the passenger cup holder, (for Balance), and a full tank, I can crank her past 90.

    Re: (This is Double J)

sounds great yea I have a ton of gear (most not needed) but feel lost without that "certain" bait/Rod.
wish they'd raise the HP limits for Tournaments so I could go to 300XS or 350 SCI V-ROD SS
You have a great sounding ride!

I don't fish tournaments Jeff, so I guess I can get by with a little less gear. If I forgot something, it's no big deal, and doesn't effect me chance of winning anything.

I love my new rig, picked it up on Oct. the 5th, ran it 11 times before putting it away for the winter. Hitting 90+ for the first time in my life was a real thrill. It was also nerve racking.

Anyway, goos luck with your tourneys, and nice talking atcha..................Double J
