250 XS warrenty

I have a dealer who is certain he can sell me a 250 XS (NOT PRO XS) with a 5 year Mercury warrenty. Is this possible? What is ya'lls understanding of the Pro XS vs. Pro XS warrenty?

Maybe he means the motor comes with 2 years or 3 years warranty ( I forget which) and then he can get you Merc's extended 2 year warranty for additional coverage?

No he is telling me it is the same 5 year warrenty on the Pro XS. He even has it on his website. I looked at the Mercury Website on the warrenty page and while it is confusing, I could see it interpreted as a 5 year warrenty. I guess I should just call Mercury.

Jaco's Marine has it listed on their web site that a 250 XS will come with a five year warranty.

That's what it says.....

Mercury DOES NOT offer a 5 year warranty on the XS or RACING versions of the 250.

There's really no way to know HOW he's offering that....

I bought a 250 Pro XS PACEMAKER earlier this year that normally only offers a 3 year warranty but it was offered with a 5 year warranty. I called Mercury and was told the last 2 years is mechanical only, no electrical or electronics. Don is this the same as a normal 5 year warranty on a Pro XS?

friend of mine just bought a brand new 250xs with 5yrs standard

You can 5 yrs with the TM LU
You get 2 yrs with the SM LU

That is what my dealer told me, this is for applications like the 21ft bullet where the TM is better fit than the Verado LU.

I just bought a 250xs last month, Got 3yrs,2yrs (5yrs) plus for $460.00 they will give me 2 more yrs. 7 yrs. MAX!

No sense in comparing the ProXS warranty to this situation. They are different.

Anything additional to these would be a "special deal" that the dealer has arranged.
