    Identifacation / Serial #??

OK, trying to locate my engine serial # and I have come up with a few numbers that may at least be able to identify the engine.
First is a white tag on the bracket that is called identification # it is : FWW 11430
Now this same number, 11430 is stamped on the back side if the bracket, does this number identify/mean anything?
Next is a stamped number also on the back of the bracket: 1499-8709-07, would this be anything?
Finally the serial number of the remanufactured power head: QSJG038290S1 Part# 883892R04 - the funny thing about this tag is it says the power head is a DFI witch I assume is a misprint..

Any help with the above numbers will be greatly appreciated!!

    THANK YOU!!

I don't believe any of those are the right one (I could be wrong)....Isn't there a freeze plug in the cylinder block on the side of it? It will be a round piece of metal in a hole about an inch or a little bigger in diameter. It should look like stainless steel or aluminum (unless it was painted over)...and it should have the serial number stamped into the plug there.

I tried looking up the QSJG038290S1 you posted on mercurypartsexpress.com...and it didn't recognize it as a serial number.

No white tag on the starboard side of the swivel bracket????

Did you get a bill of sale inluding a serial number? Or a title?

Feel free to email me all of your information.... I'll research (as best I can) based on the "reman powerhead" info.

Would also be great if you could include a few pictures with the cowling OFF (front, sides and back of the powerhead).

Email address is in my profile (<<<------- to the left of this post).

Re: Identifacation / Serial #?? (SeanR)

I responded back to your email. Definitely an EFI from the 2003-2005 vintage.

I also looked at the add.... some very conflicting information in the add.

It's NOT direct injected.... and the claim of 20-30% better fuel economy (as compared to carb engines) is bogus.

BTW... if it received a Quicksilver Reman powerhead- there should be a Quicksilver tag at the top of the engine block (probably hidden under the alternator).
