    Champion?

I', looking at a Champion and I just wanted to get some opinions on them. I have never been in a Champion so I dont know anything about them. How is the ride? Wet? Hull strength? Any thoughts would be great as I know nothing about them.
    Thanks in advance!

Champion is a good riding boat, they are one of the slower boats. I owned 2 champions and never had any problems.

What size? If you're looking for speed it not extra ordinary fast, but according to how you power them. They aren't too slow either. Champion is a rough water boat! If you can find a 202 model, scoop it up. That is a very good riding boat. Good rough water ride and for getting wet will be a minimum. That goes with how well a person can drive it.

    A 203 is also a great boat.

the one I'm looking at is a 193 cxdc the only thing I dont like is that it has a single axle trailer. I would like it to have a tandem axle.

What year is it? I know some of the last ones were pretty weak on the sides. Everyone I've ever seen was full of stress cracks on the top cap.

Champion is a great boat. It's one of the best handling boats every made IMO. It has a deep V hull so the ride is dry and handles rough water great. However, I'm not familiar with that model. Post over in the champion forum and they will tell you more on that specific model.

193 with a 200 is about a 67-68 mph boat. Maybe 70 light. They turn like they are on rails. No sliding, excellent rough water performance. Front deck sits a little higher than newer models. Trailers tend to rust out down here. I have owned a bunch of them and they were all great boats. I lost a 202 to a rotted transom though. The clown before me installed a JP and did not seal it properly. I loved that boat with a 225 it did a legitimate 74 loaded. I have not seen the spider cracks in the boats i have owned but seen some with them. Usually the rigs were beat to hell. If rig checks out and transom is good then I think you will like it.
