    2010 3.2 merc 300 xs spark plugs

    What is the best plug to use after break in? Brand and item number. Thanks for info.

    I have only done a break-in on 3 engines but I have never had to change the plugs after the break-in. Is this something specific to the 3.2 300XS?

    Depends on how the break-in was done. We see about a 50:50 change on most Opti's.... best odds of NOT needing to replace plugs are with CONSTANT use of Quickleen in EVERY SINGLE tank of fuel, and only "limited" idle time (just for warmup period).

    Plug inspection (and replacement as necessary) is always one of the FIRST things that should be done when chasing performance problems... it really stinks when you spend several days chasing some "obscure" problem, only to later find that a spark plug was the cause.....
