Caution when casting in the wind!!

I was at the bend fishing around the indian mounds and the wind was blowing like crazy. I got to a little cove that had some bait fish jumping so I casted a spinner bait to the back of it and a dang heron flew off and I didn't realize it flew into my line until the spinner bait come flying out of the water and I said WTF . Then the chit hit the fan when it almost pulled my rod out of my hand. I would yank the heron down and it would yank my arm up as I was trying to find my clippers to cut the line. I finally made it to the glove box and I grabbed my scissors but it come untangled after what seemed like 5 minutes . I imagine a few of the boats around got a good laugh

I've had that happen when fishing saltwater. Seagulls would swoop down and get your bait when you would cast.

Beleive it or not I have had that happen before. Liked to scared the crap out of me and did scare it out of the bird.

Still was not as funny as the lake house owners cat pouncing on a jig. Now that was a fight.

Rest in Peace Buddy Poche - Bayou Bullet.
I will miss you my dear friend.
