250 xb pee hole?

I believe the line where my motor pee's out is cloged up. It shows to have plenty of water preasure, but not much water is coming out. I can take a wire coat hanger and run in there and it will pee like a 4 year old, but it clogs back up after a little while. I guess my question is. How do i get the hose off to get it unclogged. I took the cowl off this evening, and tried to take the little black hose off, but it did not want to come off at all. If you know how please let me know, thanks.

Twist it with a pair of pliers first then it should come off. Dirt dobbers like to build nest in the tube. You can take the bottom cowls off. It is bolted together with 4 bolts, 2 rear inside, 1 front inside, and 1 under between bracket and motor. Pull them apart and you can take the telltale(pee nozzle) out of the rubber boot it is stuck in and clean it good.

You may also be able to follow the hose backwards to it's connection point- and disconnect it. Once disconnected, you can sometimes purge "debris" from the fitting by blowing compressed air backwards through the fitting (point the end of hose away from you and the engine).
