If its parking that just sucks down there just like most larger older cities.
Sometimes its cheaper to pay the ticket if you have to park all day at the meter.
Sometimes just better to pay the money to park just cannot get around it.

Yes, good restaurants are hard to get into.
Ones that suck cost alot also.

Last time I entertained at Visions pre-katrina I had to watch my company card due to they tack some stupid stuff on there. Lap dances do cost still cheaper than Houston or Atlanta. I mean not lap dances I mean apetizers and drinks.

Hotels its not just New Orleans everytime I do the convention thing I have to watch all my employees credit cards due to hotel's get stiffed on services and try to hide them on other people's accounts. Since we pay room and tax only for some of our guest they sometimes throw misc stuff on our cards. it is an act of congress to get them to take off the misc stuff we or our guest didn't use.

My company warehouse had stolen AC units not once but for a time there they would take them atleast once a month. Had to put the condensors on top of the building and lock system on ladder that goes to the roof.

Company vehicles I kept at Warehouse if I was between salesmen I would have to take everything out and make sure it was put inside the warehouse at night. If not that vehicle is either ripped off or gone.

Loved this someone took a dead horse one time and tied it to a no littering road sign or dead guy in a burnt car gave us things to talk about to corporate office which talk lasted a few days. I couldn't keep inside sales people due to they were scared to stay at work after 3:30pm when most people left for the day.

All and all its a city with bad crime and got really watch your stuff.

Seriously though I really hope you didn't get anything stolen or get a damaged vehicle which seems to happen more down there than similar size cities.

New Orleans only sucks if you don't know how to pass a good time. I enjoy myself everytime I go. I like going there more and more

I was raised 25 miles from NOLA in Destrehan...NOLA has more issues now...
what city run by dems for the last 45 years would you prefer?
I stay clear of NOLA...most folks moved away decades ago to the burbs which now extend all the way to LaPlace.
Remember my state promised we the people the SuperDome would cost taxpayers (us) $29.6 million...ahhh, I remember the hype way back then...what did it cost? $129.6 million! Try that game changer on as a corruption meter.

Only thing that sucked for me was tha Hang Over!

it is a ( edit ) uped place but if you get yourself a nice concealed carry set up learn your way around you might like the town. over priced places to eat, but good, and stay the night and party.
