Guys I got a few days of leave and looking to dump the boat in some where close to abbeville? As some of you know I am new to the area and saw this lake was close any opinions or recommendations of other lakes or areas to stick a couple bass?? Thanks in advance.
You can probably go to Spanish Lake or Lake Martin (between Breaux Bridge and St Martinville). I've only been to Spanish Lake 3 times and NEVER caught a fish. I think that's mostly my abilities, though. I have heard of people catching fish there.

There is good fishing in Fausse Point but you have to know were to run you can get stuck on a sand bar real easy I know been there done that.
Been to Fausse Point once and told my BIL i'll never go back. I like that place as much as i like Indian Creek.
