    THANKS DON!!!

    Don,
i got my package today, thank you very much.
the fuel filter looks pretty straight forward but i have no clue about installing the impeller kit or the air compressor filter. any visual aids available for these two items.
    thanks again

You should have bought the manual, step by step instructions on everything. I would have one by now but somebody would not answer my e-mails. So i have had to order local so i can have the parts by monday.

Air compressor filter is located in the front black cover (has a tube attached to it). Simply grasp the "head" of the filter, and turn it counter-clockwise about 20 degrees, then remove and replace.

Water pump: Sherm has a nicely detailed set of tips he's put up on BBC:

Scott, sorry about hijacking your post. But a man's got to do what a man's got to do.

Yes, you Don. You answered one and that was the last i heard from you. I started to call but i was afraid something might be wrong in the family or friends so i did not want to bother you. Glad it's not. Waited three days and ordered from Grammer. Just because i sent them doesn't mean you got them either. Your still my #1 guy for parts and info.

    Re: THANKS DON!!! (CRIMSONGAMBLER)

How about replying back to the one I answered.... this way I can see what's up.

I know I sent a Paypal Invoice to you last week (it's still sitting in my "not paid" bin, at my desk) for:

    1-mercury shop manual

    1-alt belt

    1-fuel filter

    6-recommended spark plugs

And later replied to your request for a steering "jam nut" that I would be happy to throw one in with the parts (as I have a couple of spares in my box).

Might want to check your "spam mail" box to make sure there's not something sitting there.... in the future, don't hesitate to call if something doesn't come through. We're pretty nice folks.... and seldom "bite".

Sorry for the inconvience.... would certainly have addressed it for you if I had known.

That was it, no spam, not in trash. That word (seldom) think I'll stay in the truck. I have a co-worker that has lost two uncles and a cousin in the last three weeks so i guess i was thinking the worst because i know you respond to everything. I'LL call next time Wont be long. Heading to killer-b to get the remote oil tank now.

    Re: THANKS DON!!! (CRIMSONGAMBLER)

    don,
    thanks for the info...as always.
as for any other comments or complaints about service or lack there of, that should be dealt with on a '1 on 1' basis, whether well founded or not.
having been a director of a local bass club for several years, i can appreciate the damage that can be done to an individual or group on a public forum by venting personnel frustration, on that forum, regardless of subject matter or intent.
    let's stay civil...
    just MHO.
    thanks

    Re: THANKS DON!!! (hookahawg)

Scott, your taking this the wrong way. I get all my parts from him and when i was running a 2.5 i would come and get him to go over there and help me. If i lived within driving distance i would not let anyone else touch the merc. Don is my #1 man and he knows it. Were just jabbing at each other.

    Re: THANKS DON!!! (CRIMSONGAMBLER)

cheerio then, didn't mean anything personal, just looked like 'bashing' to me.
and i'm sure Don is capable of taking care of himself.
incidently, i live 18 hrs away and don is my #1 guy also!!!
the so called mechanics we have in my area are
overpriced "guess your problem" techs. they MIGHT find your issue,
but only after spending hours or days looking in the wrong place, only
to foot you the bill for their incompetence

    now that's some bashing........
happy days crimsongambler and thanks once again Mr. Weed.
