    Need more seat time

I got my new prop shaft in and lower unit back on. Went out Friday afternoon to BB and she ran
very good, caught fish too. Went back Saturday morning by myself an she ran
better. Turning 5800 doing 72.3 mph and had about a quarter inch of throlle left so I'm thinking a bigger wheel. But she dancin all over. It was tho!

Seat time and balance. I bring three sacks of lead shot with me and use a 3 foot carpenters level. Move the shot around until the boat is level at rest.

Re: Need more seat time (T-Bob)

I put 2 12 volt batteries in my dry storage behind my passenger seat but I think that's not enough. I'll put more weight on that side next time I go by myself. I'm running a 26 trophy plus. I still have the 29 tempest but I would like to sell it to get me a txp r hydromotive wheel. It's fun tho.

Try a 28 Trophy and come up on the plate. That will help with the chine walk.

You see, Bobby agrees too. Now do the damn thang!

...but if it burns up, it's Bobby's fault.

Re: Need more seat time (T-Bob)

All BS aside. When I bought Buddy's prop, I lowered my plate all the way down because it was blowing out. It walked like a beatch. Last trip, I plugged the holes in the prop and came up 1/2".......she drove like a dream. Just giving some advice. If you are that high already, you are probably at the limits for that lower unit. All you can do is try.

Re: Need more seat time (Bryan)

MOE DO NOT try to push it too hard too fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the speed will come as the comfort level rises. PLEASE do not get yourself hurt trying to live up to what it should do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love to go fast myself but there are a lot of variables in how fast you can go boat ability, setup ability, motor ability, driver ability and weather factors. Get with some of the guys who drive those hulls to the higher speeds and let them help you learn to drive it even if you learn from the passenger seat! JUST DONT GET HURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
