I have the 250 Pro XB and I love it. Super strong and it really isn`t that bad on gas or oil if you stay away from WOT. Put it on the floor and it does get thirsty then. From what I`m told the 250 XB is putting out around 280 HP. Do you know the hours of this XB?

Provided the XB is in good condition (compression test, gearcase check, etc. recommended), that's probably not a bad deal.

The XB is a VERY strong engine... VERY durable. Loves to pass anything (except for gas pumps).

Overall, expect to use approximately 50% more fuel (although consumption on the XB will not be TOO bad on fuel in the 3500-4500 range).

Doesn`t sound bad at all as long as the other half isn`t between 5,000 and max. :)
Like Don said, be sure and have it checked out by a mechanic. Also keep in mind that you`ll need to run super unleaded in the XB. Good luck!

Loves gas, but this thing is easy to modify to make over 300 hp and still be very reliable. Almost bulletproof.
