Do any of you know if the welded aluminum boat are riding as well as a glass hull? Or ride almost as good?

The advantage to a Hanko boat is that it will last forever and you can get it set up just like you want it. As for the ride, it depends on the design. If you get a flat bottom, it rides rough. Need to have them put some V in it for the ride.

Ditto. They make some nice ones but get as much of a V as you can without making it offshore like. They won't ride like a glass boat though.

If you aint first , your last !!!
All fat girls welcomed !!!!!
The only other thing to mention is it will burn a little more fuel than a glass boat with the same engine and will not be as fast, but if you want a boat you don't have to worry about that will outlast you, it's the way to go.![]()

My uncle has one. It's a nice boat.
Thanks for all your input, gonna get a bay boat but not sure if I want a glass rig. Bull in fine china store keeps coming to mine![]()
I spoke to a guy @ Hanko's and he didn't have much to say about comparing glass to aluminum but he was more than ready to compare his to Skully's & he wasn't willing to give me a price. You have to spec it out first. That makes think sales job but maybe wrong
I'm thinking aluminum so I don't have to worry about scratching it or something rubbing on it especially since I will be letting family use it
One more thing to consider is that aluminum boats get really hot when sitting in the sun for a while. You can cook a steak on Big Green after a long day on the water![]()
Yeah I hear ya....they are now putting spray in liners in them which colls them off....I think
I have the spray in liner on Green, which helps, but it still gets pretty toasty on the deck. Without the liner it is almost unbearable![]()
Mark, check out life tyme boats up here. They custom build alum. boats and have a top notch reputation. They build and sell them all over the world.

The spray liner is graet. I hear they add a lot of weight to the boat though. Apparently the material is pretty dense.
