A group of friends of mine are getting together Saturday and boiling some crawfish. Is there any place yall would recommend getting the crawfish from that has good prices? It needs to be somewhere fairly close so I don't have to drive too far to pick them up. Also if any of you have any good recipes, let's hear them!
2 bottles crytal hot sauce, box and a half of salt, bag of chackbay seasoning, 8oz bottle of liquid craw boil, 12 lemons. good for a sack of crawfish. if you have another sace, just add half of all the seasonings for that next sack

Therein lies the problem. Crawfish were sky high last week. Should be alot cheaper by now, but I don't know.

Price dropped to $1.25 to the fishermen yesterday...should be able to pick them up for around $1.75, maybe $1.50 depending on where you go...
As far as swampfire....you had just as soon season them with horse piss....
Im catching about 2 sacks everyother day, but Im no where close to yaChackbay Boil seasoning is the best Ive used.

Whats wrong with swamp fire?? I worked at Cajun Boilers back in the day and that is all we used! I love it!

Chackbay or Louisiana crab boil powder.....small container of garlic powder.....6 onions cut in half....8 lemons cut in half....box of salt....
Bring water to a boil while adding all of the stuff........dump the crawfish in and bring back to a boil. Boil 7 minutes and shut off fire. Spray cold water in pot for 15-20 seconds. Stir and taste test until done. If they are not spicy enough, let them sit a few minutes longer.
I hate swamp fire to !!!!!!!! I only use Louisiana !!!!!!!!!!

Yep should be cheaper this week! always drops after easter! LA CRAB BOIL!
Also you can put a cup of cookin oil in the boiling water so the crawdads will peel a lil easyier !!!!!!!

I have never bought in to that. If you dont over boil them they will come out perfectly.

La Swamp Dust...6 lemons halved ....6 Jalepenos cut Onions cut old bay seasoning butter and a few smoked sausage....don't make a face....I have never had leftovers!!!! I don't pay for crawfish cuz they want me to boil Also three Garlic bulbs
