great time, fishing was OK..Great weather for being outdoors.
would manage about 10-12 bites a trip.. few 4lbers, lots of 3's, and biggest went 6.2.
90% of the fish were on spinnerbaits of all types. Most people we seen were throwing them too. Talked to several people who caught on plastics, but same results. Did have a couple 10lbers caught. Someone called in to toledo tackle about the lunker program as I was checking out. Believe she said it was 10.15. Spoke to a boat that had a 10.3 also.
fished mostly la nana north creeks, corsey creek in patroon, and carrice creek
Water is HIGH and stained. Best water was in carrice and big fish also. Water temps were 55-59 the first couple days and during the afternoons with the sun out rose to 63 in some creeks. Best average fish came from little beech bayou. It looks great in the back. I also got some fun ribbit action on the last 30 minutes of saturday. They were so far back there it was the only bait i could work through.
If you visit fish the flooded buck brush. Especially if you can find it in about 3ft of water and close to a ditch. Most of ours were caught on points deep in creeks.
with 3 boats and 6 people we managed about 60 fish 40 keepers in 4 days of HARD fishing.![]()
