    Ava Update

    We had to bring her to the emergency room saturday cause she wasn't eating,peeing and her swelling got worse.We got to Ochsners and they said the pain meds. were making her lose her appetite and that she was partially dehydrated.The doctor said its almost impossible to stop babies from getting dehydrated when they are on pain meds,so that made us feel better.They tried to stick her for an IV 5 times with no luck.She took that better than her mom would have.Just a lil wimper and that was it.So after they did this i guess Ava got pissed and had a pee diaper.Then she took a full bottle of pedialyte and made a full diaper of pee.They did blood work and everything came out great.The doctor said her swelling was what it should have been with this type of surgery.So they let us go home.She slept great all night saturday night and ate like a pig yesterday..lol...The swelling went down a good bit and last night she rolled over and started acting like herself again since the surgery..Now i think i need some Zanex for me. .My nerves are shot and numb...lol..She's at my moms today and doing good...Thank God..

    Great news man. I tear up every time I read about little miss Ava. I have a young daughter as well and it hits home. We continue you keep yall in our thoughts.

    My daughter had an IV put in at 5 weeks and the lady who did it was awesome, first stick.

    She then took me around the corner and showed me this piece of equipment that all the other people used. It is a bright light that actually illuminates the veins. She told me that the CMN tx money had bought that piece of equip. Made me feel good about being a part of the TX

    Absolutely AWESOME Bryan!!!!! We are happy to hear she is doing better than Mom and Dad at this point!!!!!

    Great news that she's getting better. It's hard for me to watch what they do to the wife, I'd hate to have to watch that being done to my kids.

    I watched one young girl try 12 times to get an IV in my wife, Finally I TOLD HER TO GET SOMEONE ELSE.
