Mercury OFFICIALLY releases Multiple MercMonitors (with Eco-Features)!

10/13/2009....... Mercury Marine announced today it's new MercMonitor models, which are slated for release later this year. Several new versions will be available, as an addition to the current MercMonitor Lineup.

For the Bass-Boat crowd, the "Eco Feature" described in the attached PDF file from Mercury will be an exciting new addition! Several other additional features are to be included with this new model, including NMEA 2000 compatability, direct connection to an NMEA 2000 Backbone, and engine data OUTPUT capability, for display on some higher-end GPS display units.

This new version will also extend compatability to some other engine brands.

The new models shown will obviously be more expensive... Pricing is not yet available.... watch here for further information as it is released!

Here's a link to Mercury's Published "Sell Sheet" for the new models:

According to the preliminary documentation I've received, YES...

Your engine must be capable of communicating on the NMEA 2000 network, however.

The NEW Mercmonitors have been officially released, and are beginning to ship (limited quantities available).

Multiple "ECO" (Version 5.X) are now available, and the Base Model (non-NMEA 2000) is also still available.

We currently carry the Base (Non-NMEA) and Level 1 (NMEA 2000 Eco-Version), and have a couple of each in stock as of this time.

The "Base" (Non-NMEA) unit sells for $435.00 (plus any options or data cables needed).

The Level 1 (NMEA 2000 Eco-Version) sells for $426.57 (plus any options or data cables needed... price subject to change).

The Level 1 unit comes complete with your choice of bezel color (white, black or chrome), and includes necessary hardware to tie it into your existing "NMEA 2000 Backbone", and allows for outputting most commonly used engine data parameters to any compatible GPS unit display.

Level 2 and Level 3 units are available "by order" (but are better suited to DTS and "multiple engine applications").

Trim sender: Yes. And I would recommend switching to the "digital trim" function if you wish to utilize one of the "Eco" version MercMonitors (we can also provide you with a "System Link" trim gauge to replace your current analog unit).

As far as the X27.... you'll need to look at it the owner's manual and/or system specifications. If it is NMEA 2000 compatible, and can accept NMEA 2000 input data, then yes, it would be suitable for use with these "Eco" versions.
