    GPS

I have a Magellan SporTrak. Unless i am mistaken, it does not have a feature to lock in the highest speed achieved. I hate trying to look at the gps while I am running. What is a good model to get that has this function?

I have an Eagle 500C that has it, it's not like the new ones of today but it works great.

Before I got my Lowrance I had a Garmin Etrex that would keep max speed.

    +1 on the Etrex...I think that's what I had...the little yellow one..

Now I've got a Lowrance on my boat and don't even know how to set it to record the top speed..

You just have to be smarter than the equipment you're operating.

I've got a humminbird 727, but don't know if it has that feature since I'm not really concerned about it.
