So what is the report. I was suppose to go tomorrow with a friend of mine from Lafayette. I just didn't want him to drive all the way to Alex., but with all the rain, and such we are not going. I think i'll play around in the river tomorrow.

    Re: Chicot (fishin couillon)

Any new word on Chicot?? I've got a tourney there this Saturday and i haven't been there in a couple of years. I've heard it's been taking 20+lb sacks to win there lately. A buddy of mine went prefishing there a couple of weeks ago and caught one over 8 and one over 6...said he had about 24 pounds. and of course since we're fishing the same tourney, i wasn't getting much of a tip out of him. lol!

Just curious if anyone had any new info they'd like to share!

They have been catching a good fish here and there but you will have a couple of guys catch fish and the rest haven't got a bite all day. I know for a tournament on good friday I think 11 or 12 pounds won it and then it dropped to like 9 lbs for second. Some days you love that lake and some days you hate it. I've been debating on fishing that tournament there saturday. I know they caught a 8 lber last night in the tuesday dogfight and I think the guy had a small dink and won it with 8.70.

From what I understand May, June and July are best months. I hate that place. We have a friend that always fishes it and loves it. No thanks.
