HEY GUYS I NEED SOME HELP. I,VE NEVER BEEN TO THE DES ALLEMANDS AREA BEFORE AND I WOULD TO KNOW WHERE I CAN LAUNCH MY BOAT. I'M TRYING TO LEARN THIS AREA WITH ALL THE BIG STRINGERS THAT HAVE BEEN CAUGHT RECENTLY. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
SOMMES Landing off of Highway 90. Nice boat launch next to a convenience store with gas, oil, drinks and snacks.
You can launch at Pleasure bend on the lake or at the public launch on Hwy 18 between Vacherie and Thibodaux. The launch at Pleasure Bend is not that great but the last time we went the water was really low.

Sommes launch isn't that great either. You can also launch under the Hwy. 90 bridge which has less parking but its a much better launch for the boat.Jake's landing in Kraemer is also a really good place to launch. You would have Lake Des Allemands on your left & Lake Bouef on your right!! Take your pick or fish both of them in one day.
